I have been living under the assumption that Miyazaki was known to all. Recent times has proven me wrong so: Hayao Miyazaki is a recently retired Japanese film producer, director, writer etc. and co founder of studio Ghibli. He’s probably best known for the hyper-fantastic anime world’s he created in Howl’s moving castle or Spirited away and now for joining the “‘John Farnham club” of retiring and then returning for one last hurrah.
Turns out the wind rises (2013) was not his last film, nor will Boro the caterpillar (2019) be. He’s recently revealed the title of his presumably actual last film: Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka, which translates to How Do You Live. I must admit, this is one come back I’m not mad at. Perhaps people I know will finally discover Miyazaki.
